Some of us went to PS 132-- and we were part of the first graduating class of JHS 59! Marvin Merein, I was in your class - Laurelton Elementary School! I lived there until I married a Valley Stream girl in 1971. After graduation in 1968 I served in the Navy and went on to college. Some of the friends I remember were Stuart Fishman, Edith Edelstein, Anita Bernheimer, Elayne Gross, Susan Dankner, Donald French, Trudi Sturm (who I just reconnected with and who is refreshing my memory about lots of fun times)and lots of kids from Springfield Gardens, Rosedale and Cambria Heights as well. I seem to remember it all as Nirvana........could that possibly be true? We are fortunate to live near our two grandsons and get to spend a lot of time with them. I remember all the teachers being mentioned by others (Herb Magidson, director of The Man Who Came to Dinner, which I stage managed really inspired me to do the theater thing as I'm currently a local stage director and actor and have worked on almost 100 shows in the last 20 years).
